A project originally having us look at the problems in a common area - refrigeration. this led on to developing a specific part of food storage which for me had me developing an aeroponic low maintenance herb/vege system which I decided to call Herb hub. This project is all CAD generated through Rhino 3D software and rendered through Keyshot.
The considerations in this system were to combat food waste and to save space in the fridge by allowing the users to have fresh greens anytime by having a fully digitised living system which only needs human interaction when the solution container is nearing low. The plumbed system sprays nutrient solution onto the roots of any plants inside and recirculates any excess solution, to reduce waste, the digital system also provides information on the health and status of each plant so the users can know when to harvest.
